Building a new home is a huge undertaking, and your kitchen and bathrooms deserve more thought than a set of blueprints can give them. Our process is built around early collaboration, careful planning, and hands-on guidance so that the spaces you'll use every day are beautiful, functional, and built to be enjoyed for years to come. One team works alongside you and your builder every step of the way.
Discovery
Discovery Interview (Free)
It all starts with a relaxed, face-to-face conversation in our showroom. We'll look at your house plans together and have you walk us through each room. What are your goals for the kitchen? How do you picture the master bath? What matters most to your family?
We'll also review any inspiration photos you've gathered, talk through cabinet and countertop options that fit your style and budget, and discuss general budget ranges for the cabinetry and countertop portion of your build. If your builder is available, we're happy to have them join us. The earlier we're all on the same page, the better.
This conversation helps us figure out if we're a good fit for your project, and it gives you a chance to decide the same.
Design
Design and Budgeting
Our NKBA-certified designer translates everything we've learned into a custom layout built around your home and your life. You'll see your new kitchen in detailed 3D renderings so you can experience the space before anything is built. We'll also present a preliminary budget based on real measurements, real products, and real quantities. No lowball numbers. No inflated estimates. Just an honest figure you can plan around.
Once you're ready to move forward, we'll sign a design agreement and collect a 5% deposit of the preliminary budgeted amount.
Execution
On-Site Visit and Builder Coordination
Once construction is underway, we visit the home to get rough measurements of the actual framing. Up to this point, we've been working from blueprints, so this step is critical for confirming that our designs fit real jobsite conditions.
During this visit, we work side-by-side with your builder to identify any framing issues that could affect the design. Should a door opening move slightly to accommodate a pantry cabinet? Does the framing need adjusting for tall cabinets, a hood vent, or a shower niche? We catch these things now so they don't become problems later.
We also lay out cabinetry locations for your builder's plumbing and electrical trades, marking sink and appliance placements so there are no mistakes. It's one less thing your builder has to worry about.
Final Selections, Design, and Contract
You'll meet with your designer in our showroom to finalize every selection: cabinetry, countertops, and hardware, all in one place with one person who knows your project inside and out.
If we don't have a finish sample you're interested in, we'll order it. We only work with trusted, industry-leading manufacturers and products we use in our own homes.
Once everything is finalized, we go through the floor plans, elevations, and 3D perspectives one last time to make sure it's exactly what you want. Then you'll sign a written contract that details every product, every finish, and a fixed price that does not change.
Planning and Project Management
We order all materials before installation to lock in pricing and avoid delays. Every product is inspected for damage and stored safely at our facility until it's time for delivery. This proactive approach means that when your builder is ready for cabinets, everything is accounted for and waiting.
Stress-Free Installation
This is where your designs become real.
Our skilled craftsmen bring careful attention and pride to every cabinet, every countertop, and every detail. You won't find a team that cares more about getting it right.
In the case that your builder is handling the installation, we deliver all products and remain available to answer installation questions and provide guidance throughout.

Will the price change after I sign the new home contract?
No. Once we finalize your selections and sign the contract, the price is fixed. Every product and every finish is detailed in writing and the number you agree to is the number you pay.
What does it mean that your designer is NKBA-certified?
It means your kitchens and baths are being designed by someone specifically trained and tested in kitchen and bath design. Our NKBA-certified designer understands building codes, safety standards, and how to make a layout flow the way it should. That expertise helps you avoid costly mistakes and end up with rooms that work as well as they look.
Can I see what my kitchen and bathrooms will look like before they're built?
Yes. We create detailed 3D color renderings of your new spaces so you can see exactly how layouts, materials, and finishes come together. You can make changes and explore options before anything is ordered. No guessing.
What's the difference between a kitchen designer and a cabinet supplier for new construction?
Most cabinet suppliers don't consult early in the build process. They don't walk you through selections in person, review framing or plumbing plans, or coordinate across trades. We do all of that. We're involved from the planning stage through installation, making sure layouts, outlets, plumbing, and cabinetry all work together from the start.
What if my builder wants to handle cabinet installation?
That works for us. We can provide all design, product selection, and material procurement, then deliver everything to the jobsite. We'll remain available to answer any installation questions your builder may have along the way.
Can you help if I don't have a builder yet?
Absolutely. We can begin the design process with you and bring your builder into the conversation once they're on board. Having thoughtful kitchen and bath plans ready can actually help guide the overall build.
Do you work directly with my builder?
Yes, and builders appreciate it. We coordinate with your builder on framing, plumbing placement, electrical locations, and appliance specifications. We mark layouts on the floor, verify rough-ins, and handle the design details so your builder can focus on construction. We're a partner, not just a supplier.
Can you design spaces beyond kitchens and bathrooms?
Absolutely. Any room in your home that includes cabinetry or countertops is in our wheelhouse. John West took care of my project the entire way. He was always available by phone and very responsive. They did a partial remodel in my Master Bath by taking out the small shower and tub and using the tub space to build a beautiful shower. Then they made the old shower space into a large linen closet. They also replaced the counter tops in my kitchen with beautiful granite and also put in a large sink. I can't say enough about both John and Jordan. The tile person they use is exceptional. He is meticulous. I love what they have done and would recommend them highly.

GK&B recently completed the renovation of our master and hall bathrooms and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. John was great to work with. He led us through through the design portion of the project, but made his suggestions and recommendations only after listening to what we wanted to have done to the two spaces. And even a last minute change we made after work had started was accommodated without any issues. The master bath was completely stripped down to the wall studs, while the hall bath only had the old tub and toilet removed. Jordan (carpentry, walls, shower, fixtures, etc.) and Ronnie (floor and wall tile) were excellent craftsmen and enjoyable to have in the house during the couple weeks they were working. If we even need additional remodeling done, GK&B will be our first call.
