You love your home, but your kitchen doesn't meet your needs. Maybe the layout never quite worked, storage is limited, or the cabinets have seen better days. You've been picturing what it could be: brighter mornings, easier meals, a space where family and friends just naturally gather.
That's exactly where we start. We'll sit down with you, learn how you use your kitchen every day, and design a space that works the way you've always wanted it to. Our team handles everything from there, with design, selections, and construction all under one roof. No juggling contractors. No wondering who's in charge. Just one team that knows your project inside and out, gives you honest answers, and treats your home with care. The result? A kitchen you love, and you're proud to walk into every single day.
Every kitchen remodel we take on is different because every family is different. But here's what you can always count on when you work with us:

Design That Starts with You
We don't guess. We ask questions, measure your space, and learn how you live in your kitchen before we ever start designing: your cooking habits, your daily routine, and how your family gathers. All of that shapes what we create. The design is yours. We just bring the experience to make it work beautifully for you.
A Showroom Where You Can See and Touch Everything
Picking finishes from a screen or a tiny sample can feel like guesswork. In our Muncie showroom, you'll see real cabinetry, countertops, tile, hardware, and fixtures, all in one place. And because your designer is the same person managing your project, every choice is made with your full design and budget in mind.
3D Renderings So You Know Exactly What You're Getting
Before we build anything, you'll see your new kitchen in detailed, realistic 3D renderings. You'll know how materials, colors, and layouts come together, and you can make changes before construction starts. No guessing. No surprises.
Honest Guidance About Where to Invest (and Where Not To)
We'll help you make smart decisions with your money. If something's worth the investment, we'll tell you. If it's not, we'll explain why. You'll get realistic budget numbers early so you can plan with confidence.
Skilled Craftsmen Who Respect Your Home
Our crews show up on time, keep the job site clean, and treat your home with care. Many of our clients hand us a key and head to work, or even go on vacation, because they trust us that much. We clean up every day so you can still live comfortably while we work.
Quality Materials and Installation That Lasts
We use materials we stand behind, installed by experienced hands. The cabinetry fits. The tile work is precise. The details are right. This is an investment in your home, and we want you to love it for a long, long time.

A Risk-Free Way to Get Started
Not sure if we're the right fit? Our $250 Start Smart fee gets the design process going with no real risk. It covers your in-home visit, precise measurements, and a real budget based on an actual design. It goes entirely toward your project, and if you don't feel we've provided value during the design phase, we'll refund it. Simple as that.
We've spent six decades building a process designed around planning, communication, and getting it right. One accountable team guides you from the very first conversation to the final walkthrough, so you're never left on your own.
Everything starts with a relaxed, face-to-face conversation in our showroom or a phone call. No sales pitch. No pressure. We'll look at photos of your kitchen together, review your inspiration images, and talk through what's working and what isn't. We'll also discuss budget and timing so we're on the same page from the start.
If we're a good fit, we'll schedule your in-home visit and collect a $250 Start Smart fee. This fee goes entirely toward your project.
We visit your home to get precise measurements, take photos, and evaluate structural conditions. Just as important, we dig deeper into how you use the room. Your cooking habits, how your family moves through the space, and the little things that have been bothering you for years. Nothing we design is guesswork, and this visit is where that starts.
Our NKBA-certified designer translates everything we've learned into a custom layout built around your home and your life. You'll see your new kitchen in detailed 3D renderings so you can experience the space before anything is built. We'll also present a preliminary budget based on real measurements, real products, and real quantities. No lowball numbers. No inflated estimates. Just an honest figure you can plan around.
Once you're ready to move forward, we'll sign a design agreement and collect a 5% deposit of the preliminary budgeted amount.
Before construction begins, our Lead Carpenter visits your home to review the proposed design and scope of work. He'll get familiar with your home and work to uncover any hidden issues, checking walls, mechanical systems, the attic or crawl space if needed. We'll often bring our electrician and plumber along to verify our plan is feasible and we’re set up for a smooth construction process.
The goal is simple: no surprises once construction starts, and a firm contract price.
You'll meet with your designer in our showroom to finalize every selection. Cabinetry, countertops, hardware, tile, fixtures, all in one place with one person who knows your project inside and out. We only work with trusted, industry-leading manufacturers and products we use in our own homes.
Once the design and selections are finalized, you'll sign a written contract that details every product, every finish, and the entire scope of the project with a fixed price that does not change.
We order all materials before construction starts to lock in pricing and avoid delays. Every product is inspected and stored safely at our facility.
Your designer meets with your construction team to review every detail. We build your full project schedule into our Buildertrend client portal, so carpenters and trades are coordinated from day one. You'll have 24/7 online access to your project, so you always know what's happening and when.
This is where your kitchen comes to life.
Our craftsmen treat your home like it's their own, keeping the space clean, orderly, and safe. We take every precaution to minimize disruption, and we clean up every single day. You won't find a team that takes more pride in their workmanship than ours.
Your Lead Carpenter posts daily updates through our Buildertrend client portal, so you're always in the loop, whether you're at home, at work, or on vacation.
We walk through your new kitchen together and check every detail. We handle quality control throughout the entire project so that by the time we reach this step, everything is already in great shape. This final walkthrough is simply our way of making sure it's perfect before we hand it back to you.
Now, it's time to enjoy your new kitchen, have friends over, and cook the meal you've been dreaming about! We'll take some photos of the finished space too, because we're just as proud of it as you are.
Our relationship doesn't end when the project does. Three months or three years later, it doesn't matter. We stand behind our work, and we'll make sure everything is functioning the way it should.
If you ever have a warranty issue, it's not a hassle to us. It's our promise.
We've spent decades working with cabinetry manufacturers we trust and use in our own homes. We carry several lines at different price points, and each one can be tailored to fit your kitchen. Our designer knows the advantages of each brand and will guide you to the best fit for your kitchen and budget.
We use the online project management platform Buildertrend that gives you 24/7 access to your project schedule, daily updates from your Lead Carpenter, and clear communication every step of the way. You'll always know what's happening and what's coming next.
Yes, and this is one of the things our clients appreciate most. We create detailed 3D color renderings of your new kitchen so you can see how the layout, materials, and finishes all come together before anything is built. You can make changes, try different options, and feel completely confident before construction begins. No guessing and no buyer's remorse.
It means your kitchen is being designed by someone who has been specifically trained and tested in kitchen and bath design, not just general contracting. Our NKBA-certified designer understands building codes, safety standards, and how to make a kitchen layout flow the way it should. That expertise helps you avoid costly mistakes, make the most of your space, and end up with a kitchen that works as beautifully as it looks.
It means one team handles your entire project, from the initial design all the way through construction. You won't need to hire a designer and a separate contractor and hope they communicate well. Your designer knows every detail of your project because they're part of the same team building it. That means fewer miscommunications, fewer mistakes, and one group of people accountable to you from start to finish.
A full kitchen remodel can include layout changes, new cabinetry, countertops, flooring, lighting, plumbing, electrical, and structural work. Our Cabinet & Countertop Refresh service is a streamlined option that updates your cabinets and/or countertops with fresh materials, better storage, and a current look, without the disruption of a full renovation. Not sure which is right for you? That's exactly what we'll figure out during your Discovery Interview.
We provide all materials as part of our process, and it's actually one of the things that protects you most. When everything comes through one team, we make sure it fits, arrives on time, meets quality standards, and doesn't hold up your project. You get one point of contact instead of juggling vendors, full warranty coverage on materials and installation, and a smoother schedule with fewer surprises. If you have questions about specific products, we're always happy to talk through options.
No. Once we finalize your selections and sign the contract, the price is fixed. It does not change. We do all the hard work upfront, verifying measurements, getting confirmed labor bids, and identifying potential hidden issues, so the number you agree to is the number you pay. The only exception is something truly unforeseen once we open up walls, like hidden water damage, mold, outdated electrical, or pest damage. These are conditions no one can see ahead of time, and if we encounter them, we'll talk through your options honestly before any additional work is done.
The Start Smart fee initiates the design process after your free in-showroom or virtual consultation. It covers your in-home visit, precise measurements, and real budgeting work based on an actual design. It goes entirely toward your project, and it's 100% risk-free. If you don't feel we've provided value during the design phase, we'll refund it.
Yes, and there are actually some savings when we do. Many clients have us take on an adjacent powder bath, laundry room, or living room built-ins while we're already set up in the home. We're happy to talk about what makes sense for your situation.
Nope. Many of our clients give us a key and go about their day. Heading to work, running errands, or even going on vacation. Our crews are respectful, trustworthy, and clean up at the end of every day. You should feel completely comfortable in your home throughout the project.
You can, but a kitchen designed around you and your home is one of a kind. It's not like replacing a roof or windows where every bid covers the same thing. Our advice? Work with someone you trust. You'll be working together for months. Trust them to listen, give honest advice, help you make smart decisions with your investment, and treat your home with care. That matters more than who comes in with the lowest number.
Most kitchen remodels take 6 to 10 weeks once construction begins, depending on the size and scope of your project. Timelines vary based on the scope of your project, but we'll give you a clear schedule before construction starts and keep you updated along the way. You'll always know what's happening and what comes next.
It depends on the size and scope of the project and the materials you choose. As a general rule of thumb, most kitchen remodels fall somewhere between 10 and 20% of your home's value. During your Discovery Interview, we'll talk through your goals and give you honest budget numbers early so you can plan with confidence.

We are extremely happy with our kitchen and dining room remodel. GKB made everything so easy. Time line was met and we did not have to worry about workers not following the schedule. We met some great folks and had the best experience. Highly recommend GKB!!!
John and Gary have assisted us in nearly an entire home remodel. We first tackeled the mud room, kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. John was by our side for every detail of the planning, installation and finishing details. He was professional, patient, and made sure we knew Great Kitchens was always available. Gary and the crew were the best we have ever had in our home. They were professional, respectful and meticulous in their work. When we decided to complete our remodel a year later with the Master Bath of course we went to Great Kitchens and Baths. We are so happy with the results. Our 25 year old home feels like a brand new house. If you are looking for a company with integrity, professionalism, and the highest quality work call Great Kitchens and Baths.
We are delighted to recommend Great Kitchens and Baths for any kitchen or bathroom remodeling project.
From the very beginning, their team demonstrated a great eye for design and helped us create spaces that are both beautiful and functional. They were incredibly easy to work with and patient as we selected materials, finishes, and fixtures. At no point did we feel rushed—instead, we felt supported and confident in every decision.
The quality of work is truly top-notch. The project was completed efficiently without sacrificing craftsmanship or attention to detail. Every contractor who worked in our home was courteous, thoughtful, and highly skilled. We always felt comfortable having them in our space, and their professionalism was evident throughout the entire process.
What stood out most was their trustworthiness and responsiveness. They were quick to answer questions, and even after the remodel was completed, we felt completely at ease knowing we could call anytime with follow-up questions or concerns. That level of ongoing support speaks volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction.
We absolutely love the end result of both our kitchen and bathroom remodels. We have received countless compliments from friends and family, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.
If you are looking for quality workmanship combined with outstanding customer service, we highly recommend them. The West Family is the best, and we are so grateful for the beautiful spaces they created in our home.
John West was a complete joy to work with throughout the projects to completely redo both our Master bathroom and our Hall bathroom which included both bathrooms being stripped to the wall studs and floor joists. The Hall bathroom is something we can be proud for guests to see and use during visits to our home. The Master bathroom is an experience of luxury. Both bathrooms are now best in class compared to all others we’ve seen. Jordan and Ronnie provided the craftsmanship that was incredible to see throughout the project. And that tile work Ronnie completed in the Hall bathroom shower is incredible!
If we ever decide to redo the Kitchen we’ll be back in touch with John.
My family has been enjoying our bathroom remodel for well over a year and still feels unreal that it is ours. John made designing the bathroom rather easy given the near endless possibilities to choose from. We can not say enough good things about the gentlemen that did the work. All of them answered questions without hesitation. They also went above and beyond to try a make a remodel job easier to endure with how they cleaned and the levels they went to, to keep dry wall dust down. The tile work is perfect and the pictures to not do it justice. There is a reason why Great Kitchen & Baths has been around so long and will continue to do so. Thank You!
WOW!!!! Gorgeous!!! Amazing!!!! My kitchen and baths look like something you see in a magazine. I can’t stop admiring them sooo happy I chose Great Kitchens and Baths. The professionalism and skills they demonstrated go above and beyond. From John designing my kitchen adding the details that were important to me, the color matching, the layout. I have so much cabinet space. He also redesigned my bathrooms so that I now have a huge tub to soak in and a beautiful larger walk in shower in the master bath that my granddaughter says looks like something you see in Hollywood. To Jordon and Gary who done such a spectacular job of bring John’s vision to life with their amazing carpentry skills. To Ron who done all the tile work and backsplash that is flawless and so detailed. Ron also laid new floor through out my entire home with Jordon and Gary trimming it out, unbelievable beautiful!!! I don’t want to forget to mention Marissa who works in the office and is so very helpful with any questions concerns and helped with color choices and recommendations. I can’t sing enough praise about these very talented and skillful group of people!!!! So very happy I chose them and recommend them highly if you want professionalism, pay attention to detail, a team that is skillful, very organized, cleans up and respects your home (which was also important to me) and does amazing work. This is your Team!!!!
John designed a totally new kitchen for us. Floor to ceiling! The craftsmanship, materials were exceptional! Jordan and Dalton always kept us up to date on the progress day by day. Gary and John did an outstanding job of coordinating everything with the Electrician, Tile installer and Flooring contractor. WE absolutely love our new kitchen!
Had an island installed. Straight forward process with some help in making some design choices. Installation took two seperate days (one for the cabinets a second day for the countertop) and an additional seperate day for electrical installation. Great solid product.
We recently had a walk-in shower installed by Great Kitchens & Baths, and we couldn't be more impressed with their work. From the initial design consultation with John, to the completion of the project, the entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Jordan and Ronnie's work was done to the highest standards and our shower is perfect and beautiful! We're thrilled with the results and would highly recommend Great Kitchens and Baths for any project you may have!
My kitchen was dark and dreary and John, Gary and their craftsman designed and built a gorgeous white contemporary area. Along with great products, was the quality of people that came into our home each day.
They were delightful and did superb work. Would I hire them again? In a heartbeat.
GK&B provided custom work in the master bath and kitchen of our newly purchased house. They are highly professional and responsive. We appreciated their design services and attention to detail. They offered a good product selection in their showroom and were willing to go beyond to find what we were looking for. Their tradesmen were exceptional--very skilled, reliable and careful on the worksite. We are very pleased with the result and highly recommend GB&K based on our experience.
We went from a 1970's kitchen to a beautiful new up to date kitchen!
What an incredible job the crew did! Ron worked tirelessly to do the intricate tile work and was so kind and professional. Jordan did a fine job in tandem with Ron. John, thank you for the design and for employing the best guys!! Highly recommend Great Kitchens and Baths.
Thank you Great Kitchens and Baths for the outstanding job you performed with our kitchen remodel. Your patience and overall guidance throughout the entire process made the entire experience relaxed and enjoyable. Every challenge was met with our full satisfaction and the overall results exceeded our expectations. Phenomenal and well executed project!!
John West took care of my project the entire way. He was always available by phone and very responsive. They did a partial remodel in my Master Bath by taking out the small shower and tub and using the tub space to build a beautiful shower. Then they made the old shower space into a large linen closet. They also replaced the counter tops in my kitchen with beautiful granite and also put in a large sink. I can't say enough about both John and Jordan. The tile person they use is exceptional. He is meticulous. I love what they have done and would recommend them highly.
Our kitchen remodel from start to finish was a wonderful experience. John guided us through the design process until both of us were happy with the plan. The work crew was hard working, cleaned up every day, and took great pride in their work. We are so glad we trusted our project to Great Kitchens & Baths.
Great Kitchens and Baths just completed the third project for us. That says a lot. Just like the first two, they worked with us closely to plan the remodel or addition we wanted within our budget. The entire team is great to work with from planning to final cleanup!
GK&B recently completed the renovation of our master and hall bathrooms and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. John was great to work with. He led us through through the design portion of the project, but made his suggestions and recommendations only after listening to what we wanted to have done to the two spaces. And even a last minute change we made after work had started was accommodated without any issues. The master bath was completely stripped down to the wall studs, while the hall bath only had the old tub and toilet removed. Jordan (carpentry, walls, shower, fixtures, etc.) and Ronnie (floor and wall tile) were excellent craftsmen and enjoyable to have in the house during the couple weeks they were working. If we even need additional remodeling done, GK&B will be our first call.
It starts with a simple conversation. No pressure, no commitment. Tell us what you're thinking, and we'll help you figure out the next steps.
