It starts with a relaxed, face-to-face conversation in our showroom or a phone call. We'll look at photos of your space together and talk about what you'd like to change. What's bothering you most? What do you wish your kitchen or bathroom looked like? We'll talk through your goals, discuss the general budget, and figure out if we're a good fit for each other.
If we're the right team for your project, we'll schedule your in-home visit and collect a $250 Start Smart fee. This fee goes entirely toward your project.
Design
In-Home Visit and measurements
We come to your home to see the space in person, take precise measurements, and talk through how you use the room day to day. This visit gives us the real dimensions and details we need to design a refresh that fits your home and your life.
Design, Budgeting, and Presentation
Your designer creates a plan for your updated space, including 3D renderings so you can see how the new cabinets, countertops, and finishes come together before we order anything. We present a preliminary budget based on real measurements and real products. No guesswork.
Once you're ready to move forward, we sign a design agreement and collect a 5% deposit of the preliminary budget.
Execution
Selections
You'll visit our showroom with your designer to finalize everything: cabinetry, countertops, hardware, and any additional finishes like a backsplash, sink, or faucet. Every choice is made with your full design and budget in mind, all in one place.
Once selections are complete, you'll sign a written contract with a fixed price that does not change.
Planning and Project Management
We order all materials before your project begins to lock in pricing and prevent delays. Every product is inspected and stored safely at our facility until installation day. We coordinate the full schedule so carpenters and trades are lined up and everything is ready to go when it's time to start. No loose ends, no last-minute scrambling

No. Once we finalize selections and sign the contract, the price is fixed. Every product, every finish, and every cost is included. The number you agree to is the number you pay.
How do I get started, and what does it cost?
It depends on what you're looking for. If you're replacing countertops only, we can provide a quote at no charge based on the measurements you provide. If you're replacing cabinets and countertops, our $250 Start Smart fee covers your in-home visit, precise measurements, and real design and budgeting work based on your actual space. It goes entirely toward your project and is 100% risk-free. If you don't feel we've provided value, we'll refund it.
How long does a cabinet and countertop refresh take?
Because we're working within your existing layout, most refresh projects are completed in a fraction of the time a full remodel takes. The exact timeline depends on materials and scope, and we'll give you a clear schedule before we start.
Do you offer design help if I already have a contractor?
Yes. We can provide professional design services and materials for homeowners who plan to have their own contractor handle the installation. We make sure everything fits, coordinates, and looks great. And no matter who handles the install, we're always on-site for stone countertop templating and installation to make sure every detail is handled correctly. It's one of the ways we protect your investment, even when we're not doing the construction ourselves.
What if I only want new countertops?
We can do that! If your cabinets are in good shape and you just want to update your countertops, we have a streamlined process that gets you new surfaces without replacing everything else. And if you'd like to add a new sink, faucet, or backsplash while we're at it, we can take care of that too.
Can I provide my own cabinets or countertop materials?
We handle all materials for your project, and that's one of the things that makes the process so smooth. We make sure everything is the right fit, the right spec, and arrives in good condition. Sinks need to be on-site for countertop templating, for example, and they have to match specific fabrication requirements. Those are the kinds of details we manage so you don't have to. If something's not right, we deal with it before it slows anything down.

John West took care of my project the entire way. He was always available by phone and very responsive. They did a partial remodel in my Master Bath by taking out the small shower and tub and using the tub space to build a beautiful shower. Then they made the old shower space into a large linen closet. They also replaced the counter tops in my kitchen with beautiful granite and also put in a large sink. I can't say enough about both John and Jordan. The tile person they use is exceptional. He is meticulous. I love what they have done and would recommend them highly.

GK&B recently completed the renovation of our master and hall bathrooms and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. John was great to work with. He led us through through the design portion of the project, but made his suggestions and recommendations only after listening to what we wanted to have done to the two spaces. And even a last minute change we made after work had started was accommodated without any issues. The master bath was completely stripped down to the wall studs, while the hall bath only had the old tub and toilet removed. Jordan (carpentry, walls, shower, fixtures, etc.) and Ronnie (floor and wall tile) were excellent craftsmen and enjoyable to have in the house during the couple weeks they were working. If we even need additional remodeling done, GK&B will be our first call.
